Book Haul ~ Birthday Edition

My birthday was this week, and my lovely mother gave me some money to celebrate. Of course, I spent quite a lot of it on books. I was thrilled to see several books go on sale that I had on my wish list, and I even splurged on a full price new release from my most anticipated reads list. Here are my newly acquired books.

December Book Haul

I'm linking up with The Deliberate Reader and Tynga's Reviews to share my most recent book purchases.

So, there have been some sales lately. I'm a little embarrassed about how many books I've bought, but not really. I got some I'm really excited about, and I picked up several physical books that I'm looking forward to reading. Almost all of my reading lately has been ebooks, but we put a lamp on my side of the bed. Now I can see!

Here are my book purchases from the last few weeks.

I don't usually get audio books, but The Good Girl and Anne of Green Gables were free. Audible allowed me to redo my free so trial, so I used my credit to get The Library at the Edge of the World.

I was thrilled to find A Fall of Marigolds at my local used book store. It's one of the few Susan Meissner books I didn't already own. I have already read The Sound of Rain and reviewed it here.

What books did you get this week? Let me know in the comments.

October Book Haul #1

I'm linking up with Tynga's Reviews and The Deliberate Reader to share this week's book haul.

This is the first book haul I've done for a while. I decided to wait til I had a fairly good amount of books to share. Here are my most recent acquisitions.

Physical Books:

The Duchess of Bloomsbury StreetWhispersA Dangerous Place (Maisie Dobbs, #11)

Kindle Books:
A Tangled MercyFirst Impressions: A Novel of Old Books, Unexpected Love, and Jane AustenThe Welcome Home Diner

Church of the Small Things: The Million Little Pieces That Make Up a LifeThe Beautiful Mystery (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #8)

I won Welcome Home Diner in a Goodreads giveaway. It looks really cute. A Tangled Mercy is a Kindle First pick for the month of October, and it was recommended by Modern Mrs. Darcy. It looks really good.

Does anyone know if you have to read the Maisie Dobbs books have to be read in order? I picked up A Dangerous Place at a library sale not realizing it's #11 in the series.
