By Beth Wiseman, Kelly Long, and Kathleen Fuller
Published by Thomas Nelson
Recently I read An Amish Love, a collection of three Amish novellas. Each of these stories follows an Amish couple and their struggle to find love and forgiveness in their daily lives.
Healing Hearts by Beth Wiseman deals with Levina and Naaman Lapp who have been married for thirty years. They have been trying to get to know each other again now that their children have all left home and started families of their own.
In A Marriage of the Heart by Kelly Long, Abigail Kauffman gets more than she bargained for when she tells a lie and finds herself married to a handsome newcomer with a secret past.
What the Heart Sees by Kathleen Fuller shows us that true love and forgiveness come in God’s time.
I really enjoyed reading this collection of stories. They were easy and quick to read, but still contained messages to think about. The characters were realistic and well developed. The book also has a glossary of Amish words and definitions, and recipes for several of the dishes mentioned throughout the book. I would recommend An Amish Love to anyone who enjoys Amish fiction or romance.
