A Tapestry of Secrets is the third book in the Appalachian Blessings series. I have read all three of these books and enjoyed each one. I was especially excited to read this book because we would finally learn the circumstances of Perla's pregnancy. I was hoping to have some questions answers, and I was very satisfied with how things were wrapped up.
The characters in these books are very realistic. They have deep struggles, and they are far from perfect. I understood Ella's feelings, and enjoyed getting to know her and watching her grow. Perla is always delightful, and I liked how the author handled her relationship with her daughter, Sadie.
All of the books in this series deal with themes of forgiveness and redemption. Faith was an important part of everyone's lives, and community is also an important part of the story. The plot moved along nicely, but overall I would categorize these as cozy and heart warming reads. Perla's story is told in flashbacks, and I think I enjoyed that story line the most.
I really enjoyed this series and I would recommend it to readers who enjoy small town, heart warming stories.
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for the purpose of review.
